board & committee volunteer application
City Centre Community Association (CCCA) is seeking community-minded volunteers from diverse backgrounds as Board Committee Members. Volunteers will attend a monthly meeting for one or more CCCA Board Committees, to share their expertise and contribute to discussions and decisions regarding events, programs and services at City Centre Community Centre.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

Attend monthly committee meetings.
-
Represent CCCA at one or more community events per year.

Collaborate and participate in discussions in a diverse team environment.

Communicate availability to staff.

Contribute 2-5 volunteer hours per month.
-
Minimum 6 month time commitment is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
-
Experience and skill sets in any of the following areas: community development, event planning, marketing, financial expertise, strategic planning, policy development, legal expertise, fundraising and/or human resources.

Experience working/volunteering with vulnerable populations, new immigrants, older adults and/or youth.

Must complete and pass a free Police Information Check.

Board Committee Member volunteers are not elected Directors of the CCCA Board; however they are encouraged and welcome to pursue Board Director status during annual Board elections or when vacancies arise.
